Lesson Three – Happiness

A new collection, a new story. Reprobable is here with another lesson.

A strong word that people use easily, without giving it its true deep meaning, its true powerful sense. Have you really forgotten ‘happiness’ is what we all want and desire above all? One true purpose of our lives is to find it and own it as a part of us. Nowadays people seem very lost, out of context, living their lives as if being happy is just about having fun at a party, having good sex or having a delighting meal… No, it is definitely more than that. These are all precious experiences, but that is all… the thrill and the excitement of a new experience giving us PLEASURE- one thing our brain loves to turn into routine. Yeah, it makes you feel good babe, but for real now, chasing pleasure isn’t happiness, is it?

So..What is HAPPINESS?

“Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.” ( Aristotel )

Feeling contented and fulfilled is one first step in achieving that inner happiness you are supposed to find. Everything depends on how we act and think, cuz in the end to be happy is also a choice. We are as happy as we want to be! Stop hiding behind those stupid conditions like “I will be happy when…”, WHY postpone your happiness? What are you waiting for? It’s right there in front of you dear, go and grab it!

  1. believes that there are two kind of people: the happy ones – people that choose to be happy for what they are and nothing more AND the unhappy ones – people constantly expecting something else, not accepting themselves as they truly are. Let’s make the right choice today and destroy that beautiful lie we keep telling ourselves: ‘once I have everything I will be happy’… NO! Once I am happy I will have everything I ever wanted and even more. Come on darling, let’s choose a definition together!

Let’s only focus.

Let’s live only on that brightside of things.

Let us feel that we can add our experiences, our knowledge, feelings, country wisdom and anything that we know.

Let us ask to the entire world for anything that we want to know about happiness.

Let’s engage!

Some not-to-miss observations:

Most people seek happiness.

They persue happiness as an object that they can obtain. They think that if they earn just enough money, or have just enough of something, then they’ll be happy. Whether it’s a new pair of shoes or the newest technological device, once obtained, their happiness fades.

Some people pursue success.

They’ve equated recognition, achievement, and financial security with happiness. They imagine that once they reach a certain point in their career they’ll feel a deep sense of happiness. Is that so? After earning their job promotion, their happiness quickly fades until they find something else to chase, know what I mean?

         Others chase relationships.

They enter relationship after relationship looking for happiness. They hope that the person they find can replace their emptiness with satisfaction. While being in love brings bliss, this feeling is temporary. After a few months, their lives return to the same bland flavor as before, so what’s the point? Isn’t that what you are trying to escape from?

Let us stop projecting and depending our road to happiness upon external factors.

Through social conditioning, we have been taught that happiness is experienced during a state of pleasure.

As simple as this: When our parents surprised us with an ice cream cone, we simply felt happy.

Now we spend the rest of our lives looking for treats, only to find that they don’t taste good.

Happiness isn’t the ice cream cone.

  1. R. knows that happiness is:

Not an object.

No matter what material item you obtain, it will never bring you lasting happiness. Seeking happiness in this way creates a sense of lack consciousness. You end up feeling a longing that cannot be satisfied.

Not separate from yourself

Happiness is part of you, not something separate. This is why people can be laying on their deathbed with no friends, family, or material belongings and still experience happiness—it is part of themselves.

Always available

Happiness is available to you in each and every moment. When you stop seeking and start living, happiness emerges from the present. No matter what’s happening around you, no matter what objects you obtain or lose, happiness is always available. All things arise and fall—there’s both night and day, life and death.

A state of being.

When you are lost in the moment, happiness is there. When you look back into the past and experience a happy memory, you are actually recreating and re-experiencing that moment in the present. Happiness is something that only exists in the present. You find this truth when you stop seeking and start being.

Lose yourself in the present moment and re-connect with the happiness that is already available.

You don’t have another you. Believe in your simple way of being who you are and be good to yourself cuz you deserve it human!

Choose to be yourself and DARE to be happy in this life.

That’s the story for today, boo!

With love,
